The Vaisala HMP5 humidity and temperature probe is specifically designed for high-temperature applications such as drying ovens, baking dryers, and industrial kilns. Thanks to its high measurement accuracy and chemical resistance, it is an ideal solution for demanding industrial processes.

The 250 mm probe design allows for easy installation through insulation materials, while the optional sensor purge function improves long-term stability by removing chemical contaminants. This ensures reliable performance even in chemically demanding environments.

The HMP5 measures 0 to 100 %RH with an accuracy of ±0.8 %RH and operates in a temperature range from −70 to +180 °C with a temperature accuracy of ±0.1 °C.

Technical Specification

The probe provides a humidity measurement range from 0 to 100 %RH and a temperature measurement range from −70 to +180 °C. The probe body is designed for temperatures from −40 to +80 °C.

The HMP5 includes a Pt100 RTD temperature sensor (Class F0.1 according to IEC 60751) for highly accurate temperature measurement. An optional sensor purge function heats the sensor to remove contamination and improve long-term measurement stability.

The probe supports Modbus RTU communication via RS-485 and is fully compatible with Vaisala Indigo display devices and Insight PC software. The IP66-rated housing ensures reliable protection even in harsh industrial environments.
