The Vaisala HUMICAP® HMP8 humidity and temperature probe is designed for high-pressure applications up to 40 bar and is ideal for compressed air systems, refrigeration dryers, and industrial processes. Thanks to its adjustable installation depth and the possibility of replacement under process pressure, it offers excellent flexibility in demanding applications.

Thanks to the proven HUMICAP® sensor technology, the probe provides excellent long-term stability, fast response times, and low hysteresis. The integrated sensor purge function improves chemical resistance and ensures reliable measurement results even in harsh environments.

The HMP8 measures 0 to 100 %RH with an accuracy of ±0.8 %RH and temperatures from −70 to +180 °C with an accuracy of ±0.1 °C.

Technical Specification

The HMP8 features a humidity measurement range from 0 to 100 %RH and a temperature measurement range from −70 to +180 °C. The probe is designed for an operating pressure up to 40 bar (4 MPa) and operates at ambient temperatures from −40 to +80 °C.

The robust stainless steel housing (AISI 316L) with IP66 protection ensures durability in industrial environments. The probe supports RS-485 communication with Modbus RTU for easy integration into automation systems.

A traceable calibration certificate (6 humidity points and 1 temperature point) is included. The probe is fully compatible with Vaisala Indigo devices and Insight software and supports hot swapping under pressure using a ball valve assembly.
