  • HMP7 - Relative Humidity and Temperature Probe for High Humidities

Product Description

The Vaisala HUMICAP® HMP7 humidity and temperature probe is designed for applications with constantly high humidity or rapid humidity changes. It is particularly suitable for drying and test chambers, combustion air measurements, and meteorological applications.

Thanks to HUMICAP® sensor technology, the probe offers long-term stability, fast response time, and low hysteresis. The integrated probe heating prevents condensation, while the sensor purge function improves chemical resistance and long-term reliability.

The HMP7 measures 0 to 100 %RH with ±0.8 %RH accuracy and temperatures from −70 to +180 °C with ±0.1 °C accuracy, making it ideal for demanding industrial environments.

Technical Specification

The HMP7 provides a humidity measurement range from 0 to 100 %RH and a temperature range from −70 to +180 °C. The probe heating function prevents condensation by keeping the sensor temperature above the dew point.

The probe is designed for operating pressures up to 10 bar and ambient temperatures from −40 to +80 °C. It features a robust stainless steel housing (AISI 316L) with IP66 protection for harsh industrial conditions.

The device supports RS-485 communication with Modbus RTU, includes a traceable calibration certificate (6 humidity points and 1 temperature point), and is fully compatible with Vaisala Indigo transmitters, Insight software, and the Indigo80 handheld device.
